Livelihood Assistance

Livelihood Assistance
In many rural and low-income communities in Nepal, families struggle every day to earn enough for food, education, and basic living.
Without stable income, parents cannot send their children to school, and many families fall deeper into poverty.
Better Life Social Organization (BLSO) Nepal runs the Livelihood Assistance Program to help poor and vulnerable families become self-reliant by supporting small income-generating activities.
Our goal is not only to give short-term help, but to create long-term change.
Current Situation
Many families we support are:
-
Daily wage workers with unstable income
-
Single mothers or widows
-
Families affected by disaster or illness
-
Parents who cannot afford education for their children
-
Rural households with no job opportunities
Without support, these families remain trapped in poverty.
What We Provide
Through this program, BLSO Nepal supports families by providing:
-
Small business support (shop, livestock, farming tools)
-
Sewing machines and skill materials
-
Support for women self-employment
-
Agriculture and livestock assistance
-
Emergency livelihood help for poor families
-
Training for income-generating skills
We work directly with families to ensure the support is used properly and creates real improvement.
