BLSO Nepal Flood Relief Helping Victims in Rasuwa, Betarwati & Bidur

When disaster hits, helping each other is our biggest strength. Together, we are reaching more families who need help.

The Crisis

Sudden flash floods along the Rasuwa Bhotekoshi river, Betarwati, and Bidur caused heavy damage. Thick mud and fast-moving water destroyed homes and washed away everything. Families had to run away with only the clothes they were wearing.

Our Help on the Ground

Since day one, Better Life Social Organization (BLSO) Nepal has been right there with the victims.

We are still giving hot meals every day to 60 people in Bidur-01 (Dhunge). We also provided jackets, shoes, and medicine to 91 families (257 people) at the Sawara camp in Betarwati.

Beyond that, we have also shared food and warm items with over 600 more people:

• Food: Rice and fresh vegetables so families can cook healthy meals.
• Warmth: Clothes and blankets to keep everyone warm and safe from the cold.

What We Need Next

People still need a lot of help to start their lives over. Since their houses are completely destroyed, families are living in temporary places. We are looking for kind donors and partners to help us provide:

• House Rent Support: Financial help to pay for temporary house rent until their homes are rebuilt.
• Kitchen items so families can cook their own food.
• School supplies so children can go back to learning.
• Help to rebuild safe homes for the families.
