Emergency Assistance Program: Providing Covid-19 Relief to Affected Families
Better Life Social Organization – June 7, 2020
In the serene community of Bhaktipur-05, Sarlahi, the COVID-19 pandemic has left many families grappling with unprecedented challenges. On June 7, 2020, we received distressing news about a family severely impacted by the pandemic. Unable to work and with no food for three days, they faced the harrowing reality of hunger and homelessness. Their children, crying out in hunger, symbolized the dire need for immediate assistance.
Recognizing the urgency, the Better Life Social Organization mobilized swiftly. Our dedicated team of volunteers sprang into action, collecting funds to provide critical aid to those in desperate need. Thanks to the compassion and generosity of our supporters, we were able to bring relief to 13 families.
We provided essential items including rice, oil, salt, daal, masks, and gloves. These supplies not only addressed their immediate nutritional needs but also offered protection against the ongoing threat of COVID-19. Our efforts ensured that these families could sustain themselves during this challenging period.
The response from our community has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing our commitment to supporting those who need it most. This initiative is a testament to the power of collective action and the profound impact it can have on the lives of the vulnerable.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to this emergency support effort. Your kindness and solidarity have brought hope and relief to families in their darkest hours. Together, we continue to strive towards a future where no one has to endure such hardship.
