A Thank You From the Children
The children who received your generous support send their warmest thanks to all the donors who made it possible. Your kindness brought smiles, hope, and encouragement to young hearts who often go without the essentials they need.
Every notebook, every piece of clothing, every small act of care has made a big difference in their daily lives and education. Because of you, they feel seen, valued, and motivated to dream of a brighter future.
On behalf of the children and the entire Better Life Social Organization (BLSO) family — thank you for believing in them.
Lunch Project for Needy Children – Sarlahi Distri
In rural areas of Sarlahi, many children attend school on an empty stomach. Due to extreme poverty, their parents struggle to provide daily meals, as their income depends on daily labor. As a result, many children often leave school early or are unable to focus in class because of hunger.
To address this urgent need, Better Life Social Organization (BLSO) has launched the Lunch Project to provide nutritious meals to very needy children in these communities.
This project has been generously supported by Mr. Fumitaka (Dai) from Japan, whose kindness and compassion have brought smiles and hope to many young hearts. With his support, children are now able to stay in school, learn better, and dream of a brighter future.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Fumitaka Dai for his meaningful contribution and continued encouragement. Together, we are building a better future—one meal, one child, and one act of kindness at a time.

Education for Every Child
At Better Life Social Organization, we are dedicated to supporting the poorest and most vulnerable communities in rural Nepal. Many families struggle daily to meet their basic needs, and as a result, countless children are unable to attend school due to financial hardship.
We believe that every child deserves an education and a chance for a better future. That’s why our organization works tirelessly to bring children back to school, providing educational support, school materials, and motivation for both children and parents.
Through our efforts, many children who once dropped out are now attending school regularly learning, growing, and dreaming again. Your support makes this possible.
Every donation, no matter how small, helps us:
-
Provide school supplies and uniforms
-
Support families facing extreme poverty
-
Organize awareness programs about the importance of education
-

Better Life Social Organization (BLSO Nepal): Education for Every Child
At Better Life Social Organization (BLSO Nepal), we believe that education has the power to change lives. Our mission is simple yet powerful to ensure that every child, no matter their background, has the opportunity to go to school and build a better future.
In many rural and remote areas of Nepal, countless children are unable to attend school. Poverty forces many to work instead of study, struggling each day just to have enough to eat. Others have lost their families or homes and have no one to support their education.
That’s where BLSO Nepal steps in.
We work directly with the most vulnerable children those who are homeless, orphaned, or forced to drop out of school and help them return to the classroom. We provide educational materials, school uniforms, and emotional support, ensuring that no child is left behind.
But our resources are limited, and your support can make a world of difference.
Even a small contribution can help a child go back to school, dream again, and create a brighter future for themselves and their community.
We warmly welcome volunteers, donors, and supporters from all around the world to join our mission. Together, we can bring hope and education to every corner of Nepal — one child at a time.
Join hands with BLSO Nepal because every child deserves a chance to learn and live a better life.

Warm school Shoes, Bright Futures Winter Aid for Children
On December 13, 2024, the Better Life Social Organization carried out a meaningful initiative aimed at providing much-needed footwear to children in the Low-Caste Community School (JEBS), located in Babarganj-02, Sarlahi. This winter shoe distribution event was designed to address the immediate needs of over 205 children who lacked proper footwear and socks, enabling them to attend school with comfort and protection during the cold winter months.
The project was made possible through the generous support of Mr. Fumitaka Katsuta from Japan, whose contribution enabled us to deliver essential resources to a community that faces significant hardships. The initiative not only provided warmth and safety but also delivered hope to children who are often overlooked in such rural, underprivileged areas.
The Initiative
In many rural communities like Babarganj-02, cold winters can pose a serious challenge, particularly for children walking to school without proper shoes. For these children, simply walking to school becomes a daunting task, and the risk of frostbite or injury is significant. With winter quickly approaching, this project focused on ensuring these children received proper winter footwear, empowering them to continue their education without the concern of inadequate clothing.
Thanks to the collaboration between Better Life Social Organization and Mr. Fumitaka Katsuta, over 205 pairs of shoes were distributed to the children of JEBS School, significantly improving their ability to attend school with dignity and comfort. The shoes, which were distributed with care by volunteers, are designed to withstand the harsh conditions of winter and ensure the children remain protected during their daily commutes.
Project Results and Impact
- Over 205 Children Benefited: The shoe socks distribution provided essential warmth and protection to over 205 children, allowing them to walk safely to school during the cold winter months.
- Enhanced Educational Access: By alleviating the burden of inadequate footwear, this project ensured that children could focus on their studies rather than the challenges posed by poor conditions.
- Community Empowerment: The distribution event helped strengthen the community by demonstrating the power of collective action. Local families, volunteers, and supporters came together to make a real difference in the lives of these children.
- Long-Term Benefits: The shoes provided will not only protect the children for several months but also positively impact their health and well-being, reducing the risk of injuries and illnesses caused by exposure to cold weather.
Acknowledgments
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Fumitaka Katsuta for his generous donation, which made this project possible. His commitment to supporting marginalized communities has made a lasting impact on the lives of these children.

Comfort & Confidence: Sanitary Pads for JEBS Girls
In a significant effort to improve the health, well-being, and educational access of girls at JEBS School in Babarganj-02, Sarlahi, the Better Life Social Organization recently distributed sanitary pads to 29-35 girls and female teachers. This initiative aimed to address the challenges these girls faced due to the lack of sanitary products, which often caused them to miss school and feel embarrassed during their menstrual cycle.
Before this project, many girls at JEBS were unable to afford sanitary pads and resorted to using old cloths, which were not only uncomfortable but also posed serious hygiene risks. This led to many girls staying home during their periods, missing valuable school days, and falling behind in their studies.
With the distribution of sanitary pads, these girls can now attend school regularly, without the worry or discomfort of managing their menstruation with inadequate materials.
The Impact of the Project
This simple yet impactful initiative has made a tremendous difference in the lives of these girls and female teachers:
- Improved Attendance: The provision of sanitary pads has allowed the girls to stay in school during their menstrual cycle. With the comfort and security of proper hygiene products, they no longer need to miss school, leading to better academic consistency.
- Increased Comfort and Confidence: The girls are now able to focus on their education without the constant worry or embarrassment about managing their period. This has not only improved their comfort but also their overall well-being and self-esteem.
- Health and Hygiene: With access to sanitary pads, the risk of infections and other health issues associated with unhygienic menstrual management has been significantly reduced. This contributes to better long-term health for the students.
- Empowerment: By providing access to sanitary products, we empower these girls to stay in school and pursue their education without being held back by natural biological processes. It’s a step forward in removing barriers to their future success.
Why This Project Matters
Access to sanitary products is essential for every girl’s dignity, health, and education. In many rural areas, such as Babarganj-02, menstrual health management is often overlooked, and the inability to afford pads can cause girls to skip school or, in some cases, drop out entirely. The Better Life Social Organization is committed to tackling these barriers to education by ensuring that girls in these communities receive the necessary resources to stay in school, stay healthy, and feel confident.
Acknowledgments
We are grateful to our donors and supporters for making this project possible. Their generous contributions have had a direct and lasting impact on the lives of these young girls and their teachers. Special thanks to Mr. Fumitaka Katsuta for his continuous support in empowering marginalized communities in Nepal.
